STEFANO, STORIA DI UNO CHEF GIRAMONDO

“Tutto ebbe inizio quando ero piccolo e mio nonno mi portava a vedere i treni correre lungo la ferrovia, con mio padre amavamo vedere gli aerei volare e un giorno mia madre mi regalò un mappamondo”. In questa frase ricca di ricordi e di prospettive future si racchiudere la storia di un giovane lodigiano, Stefano Campanini, che da diversi anni ha deciso di diventare cittadino del mondo documentando i suoi viaggi attraverso un blog. La sua storia, ricca di colpi scena, ebbe inizio intorno alla maggiore età come animatore nei villaggi turistici in Italia; la possibilità di girare il nostro paese gli ha fatto capire che era arrivato il momento di fare nuove esperienze all’estero.

"Mi piace parlare delle persone, soprattutto quello conosciute per caso, grazie ad un passaparola tra amici, davanti ad un buon bicchiere di vino rosso. Mi piace parlare delle persone che sono in grado di fare opere straordinarie senza pensieri, senza paure, perchè la passione le travolge così tanto che ogni remora vacilla di fronte a così tanto entusiasmo. Mi piace parlare di queste persone perchè hanno un coraggio enorme e riescono a trasformare la propria vita. Mi piace parlare con loro perchè in questo faccia a faccia riscopro ogni volta cosa vuole dire vivere." Buona lettura.
COUCHSURFING PROVIDES FREE ACCOMODATION AND ENABLES MEMBERS TO SEE

Anew method of travelling has emerged and it involves sleeping on a couch.
Couchsurfing.org, which is promoting this new way of travelling, has connected more than five million members around the world who provide free accommodation to travellers.
As part of the arrangement, the host will bring the Couchsurfers around town to experience the non-touristy places usually frequented only by locals.
Aptly named, the host would prepare a couch for the visitors to sleep on, a basic necessity for those travelling on a shoestring budget.

CAN I COOK IN YOUR KITCHEN

This blog is born out of my shared love for wanderlust and food. I had this idea of exploring cities around the world, not just via the local food that I consume but through experimenting with local cuisine by cooking the dishes myself. The unique part about this project is, I invite the chef of a restaurant/cafe/bar or street stall or a local with a kitchen to show me how to do it and then allowing me to cook it in their kitchens. While I cook, I document the cooking process and also enquire of the story behind the
dish. I figured that every dish from a specific kitchen has its own story, hence the start of this website.
This website will feature stories of the dishes, the kitchens and the chefs from different parts of the world and it my greatest wish that you will eat and taste through these countries vicariously through us.

"Can I cook in Your Kitchen" nasce dal mio amore condiviso per la voglia di viaggiare e la buona cucina. Ho avuto questa idea di esplorare le città di tutto il mondo, non solo attraverso il cibo locale che consumo, ma anche attraverso la sperimentazione di esso, cucinandone i piatti in prima persona.
In questa rubrica vi racconterò come un semplice amante dei viaggi e del cibo come me possa fondere i due amori cucinando in tutti paesi del mondo; dalla lontana Australia, ai più remoti paesi asiatici, passando per i freddi paesi scandinavi a quelli mediterranei ed oltreoceano.
